If you're searching for gluten free restaurants in Javea, then you've come to the right place.

Javea, is a small, historic town, free of high rise buildings offering a relaxing holiday atmosphere. It offers everything: history, culture, beaches, shopping, nightlife and most importantly, amazing gluten free food.
If you have coeliac disease or are gluten intolerant, there are numerous restaurants in Javea that are coeliac friendly or provide gluten free options on their menus.

The phrases listed below should help to double check with staff and inform them of your dietary requirements.
Gluten Free Spanish Phrases:
Soy celiaco (m), soy celiaca (f) = I am coeliac
Sin gluten = gluten free
No puedo comer gluten / harina de trigo = I can’t eat gluten / wheat flour
Here is my gluten free Javea guide...
Gluten free Tapas, yes please! Cala Brisa Beach Club is in the port of Javea, in front of the sea. They offer gluten free breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was in shock with how much gluten free food was available at this restaurant. The food was honestly amazing and this would definitely be one of my favourite restaurants to recommend when visiting Javea.
La Fontana Restaurant, the best place to eat in Jávea - although I do recommend that you reserve a table in advance, as they are very popular. Located on the El Arenal beach the views are fabulous and the restaurant is just beautiful. While gluten free is not listed on the menu, if you speak to the manager, he'll tell you everything you can have (he is excellent!).
If you're looking for luxury fine dining with a variety of gluten free options, book this restaurant in advance since it seems to be popular, and you can let them know about your dietary restrictions. Most of the dishes could be made gluten free, and we even had a side of chips that were gluten free (yum!).
On the menu, all dishes have allergen keys next to each item (note that some meals claim to contain gluten, but they can be gluten free). This made it so much easier for me to see which dishes could be made gluten free. Staff were very helpful with gluten free and showed a good understanding of cross contamination.
This restaurant offers an excellent selection of gluten free options on the menu, with allergen keys next to each dish (note that some dishes claim they contain gluten, but they can be gluten free if the bread isn't added). Staff are really helpful here and can go through the dishes that can be made gluten free. The location is right by the beach and the views are absolutely stunning. I usually go here for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
This restaurant had a great selection of gluten free dishes, if you plan on dining here one evening. We had the set menu for €30 which was definitely worth it, the food was so good. The fact I could have so many different choices for all three courses was great. The Guanaja chocolate mousse was unreal, sickly but so good - one to recommend.
This restaurant had the best view and quite a few gluten free options were available for breakfast. I had the ‘Cala Grandella’ for breakfast which was gluten free toast with a poached egg, smoked salmon, cream cheese & avocado. They also offer a wide variety of gluten free options for lunch and dinner; which includes gluten free desserts!
I’ve eaten here now plenty of times and there are quite a few gluten free options available. I only ever really come here for breakfast and I usually choose an egg option just because they are my favourite for breakfast! The views are also fantastic, as the restaurant was right on the El Arenal beach.
This restaurant has quite a few gluten free options and specifies on the menu what allergens are in which dishes which is very useful. On the occasions that I have visited, luckily the frying oil only had chips in so I had the opportunity to have chips at this restaurant, however do be careful and ask, as at some point they will have gluten in there.
I stumbled across this patisserie that had one gluten free option; a chocolate brownie, which was wrapped separately in it’s own packaging with a gluten free label on it. I decided to treat myself and buy it to see whether it was nice, and surprisingly it was quite yummy!
This frozen yoghurt and soft ice shop is great for a refreshing treat! I always go for the natural frozen yoghurt with a few scoops of Nutella on it. However, I asked for the Nutella to be scooped out of the pot that’s in the back, rather than out of the counter where cross-contamination has occurred. The staff are very knowledgeable in there and if you didn’t want to risk adding toppings, then frozen yoghurt without toppings is still delicious!
I hope that my Javea, Spain 2024: My Gluten Free Travel Guide was helpful for you. Of course, Javea has a lot more options for gluten free dining, so if you have any recommendations, please let me know! I'm sure I'll be returning to Javea soon, so hopefully I can check out some new restaurants! Who knows where my next journey will take me...
Thanks so much for reading!
