Being able to find a restaurant that makes tasty gluten free pizza has always been a fantasy since I was diagnosed...until now.
As soon as my friend (who is also a coeliac) told me about Bella Bella in Saffron Walden, I knew I had to try it out myself.
I arranged for my friends and I to travel to Saffron Walden, which is about a thirty-minute drive away. As soon as we arrived, there was even a massive sign outside advertising the gluten free pizza.

We looked at the menu and not only did they make gluten free pizza, they even made gluten free pasta. While I was excited at the thought of gluten free pasta, I realised I had to try the gluten free pizza as suggested.
The challenge, however, was selecting a topping...I didn't know whether to have the gluten free Meat Feast, or the Prosciutto & Fungi pizza.
I finally opted for the Meat Feast. Well, that was until my friend said that she wanted to try both of the same pizzas that I wanted. We ordered one each, so we could split them and try a combination of both of them.
Oh, by the way, we were told we could get a half and half pizza if we wanted to, but ordering two made it a lot easier for the staff to make.
After waiting for our pizzas to be cooked for about ten minutes, they came out in a huge stack of pizza boxes. Let's just take a minute to enjoy the look of the delicious pizzas...

The bases were thick and delicious, and they were already cut up for us, which was perfect!
The toppings on both of the pizza's I tried were so tasty, and definitely the largest gluten free pizzas I've ever had. I couldn't eat all of it for my lunch, so I chose to save half of it for dinner.
All and all, Bella Bella have won my heart. I'm certainly going to be visiting more frequently.
